Cristina Muñiz de la Peña, PhD ACCEP

Dr. Cristina Muñiz de la Peña is a licensed counseling psychologist specialized in the therapeutic alliance, trauma, attachment, adolescence, social justice and multicultural conscience. Dr. Muñiz de la Peña received her doctorate at the State University of New York at Albany and completed a postgraduate training in family-systems therapy at the Unidad de Investigación en Intervención y Cuidado Familiar at the Universidad de A Coruña and one in somatic therapy at the New York Institute of Core Energetics. In 2013, she co-founded Terra Firma's Flagship program in the South Bronx where she directed the program’s mental health services. She moved back to her native Spain in 2020 where she teaches mindfulness-based therapy at the International University of La Rioja and manages a private practice.
