Make a Referral

Terra Firma, embedded within the Bronx Health Collective in the South Bronx, provides medical, mental health, social and legal services to unaccompanied immigrant children and families seeking humanitarian protection. Terra Firma offers additional support including enrichment programming (English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction, arts, soccer and academic support. 
 

Program Eligibility:

  • Unaccompanied immigrant children or members of families seeking humanitarian protection in or willing to travel to the Bronx

  • Terra Firma's model requires clients to receive a medical intake prior to engaging in any other care. Unfortunately we cannot accept referrals only for mental health services.

  • We provide care regardless of health insurance status or ability to pay.

  • We accept all forms of health insurance except United Healthcare –  we can assist in dis-enrolling from a plan that we do not accept and enrolling in an accepted insurance plan. 

  • If eligible, Terra Firma can assist in health insurance enrollment. 

Evaluation Request

Terra Firma provides medical and psychological evaluations to support immigration cases for existing clients engaged in medical or mental healthcare. Due to limited capacity, Terra Firma is unable to provide evaluations for clients not enrolled in the program.
