Tasruba Ahona

NYIC VISTA of Fundraising & Program Development

Tasruba is the NYIC VISTA of Fundraising & Program Development at Terra Firma National. As an AmeriCorps VISTA, she is responsible for supporting donor management and stewardship, as well as the development and implementation of a training and technical assistance program. Tasruba is a recent Sociology and English graduate from the City College of New York. She has served as a Teaching Assistant to children with autism, a Housing Justice Advocate for South Asian Survivors of Domestic Violence, and an Environmental Justice Research Fellow in the South Bronx. Informed by her coursework and experience, she has cultivated a passion for systems-level thinking and restorative justice, and intends to pursue a Master's of Science in Urban Policy and a PhD in Sociology. In her free time, she enjoys reading, journaling, exploring NYC, and spending time with her family.

Terra Firma is the direct service program, embedded within the Bronx Health Collective, providing integrated medical, mental health, and legal services to immigrant children and families through the Terra Firma Model.

Terra Firma National is a nonprofit organization dedicated to replicating and advancing the Terra Firma Model across the country.
