Wendy holds a BSN from Columbia University and a MSN from Lehman College. She holds a national certification in pediatrics from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). Wendy has worked at the Bronx Health Collective, formerly known as the New York Children’s Health Project, since 1994 in various roles including RN, Patient Care Coordinator, Ashma Co-Director and currently as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Wendy believes in the duty to treat everyone with respect and dignity, giving hope to those that need it most, and guiding patients to be the best version of themselves. In her role she is passionate about providing better opportunities and building resiliency with patients. She is fluent in Spanish. Wendy provides care to the children of asylum-seeking families, including children who have been separated at the border.
